Charlie Turner
Senior Pastor
Charlie and Amanda’s desire is to help people experience life in Jesus by living out and proclaiming the Gospel. His passion is to equip men and women to grow into disciple-makers that then go on to make other disciple-makers.
Charlie was born and raised in Texas. He received his bachelor’s degree from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where he met his wife, Amanda. Charlie went on to earn a Masters of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. While serving at a church in the Dallas area, Charlie and Amanda felt God calling them to plant a church in the Austin area. They quickly fell in love with Georgetown and made it their home.
Charlie and Amanda have five-year-old triplets, daughter Charley and sons Malachi and Bear, and a two-year-old daughter Evie. In addition to spending time with his wife and kids, Charlie enjoys hunting, running, baseball, football, and playing guitar.
About River Rock Bible Church
Welcome to River Rock! We are truly excited that you are considering visiting with us. After the coronoa virus scare subsides, we will resume meeting at City Lights Theater at 420 Wolf Ranch Parkway. That’s right, we meet in a theater. After all, a church is not a building, a church is comprised of people, a family! We want to help people bring the love of God into their jobs, schools, neighborhoods and hobbies. Our desire is that the life-changing reality of Jesus is carried through people into the relationships they form in the community.
When Do I Need to Get There?
Our Sunday service begins promptly at 10:02 am and usually runs until 11:15 am. Try to arrive around 9:45 am in order to give you time to grab some coffee and meet someone new.
Where Can I Park?
There are plenty of parking spaces available at City Lights Theater. Just pull up in front and come in through the main entrance.
What Should I Wear?
Feel free to dress as you like. We are a casual, come as you are gathering. Blue jeans and tennis shoes are pretty standard.
What About My Kids?
We're glad you asked! There is a children’s check-in table in the main lobby. It is staffed by volunteers to answer all your Kid’s Church questions. We have a wonderful crew of volunteers lined up to serve you and teach your children from God’s word. Classes are available for Nursery & Toddlers, Pre-K, K-2nd grade, 3rd – 5th grade, & Middle School.
What Happens After Sunday?
We have wonderful small groups which meet throughout the week in member’s homes. We believe strongly that small groups encourage spiritual growth, through relationship. These relationships allow us to know others and be known. God intended us to grow in community, and small groups help us all take next steps of growth. We will be glad to help connect you there.

Children
Our children’s program is comprehensive, from nursery through grade school. All our children’s staff and volunteers have completed background checks. Each class has a lesson specifically designed each week for your children and follow-up information as well to help you lead your children throughout the week.

Youth
Our middle and high school youth join with the adults on Sunday mornings and have their own program on Sunday evenings. Each youth service has fun activities and lessons designed specifically with teenagers in mind.

Our community groups meet each week in locations around Georgetown. These home-based gatherings are sure to be a blessing to you, as well as connect you with others from River Rock. They are also the teams which reach out for service projects in our community.
